Dear Readers,DHAM is actually DAM.this word sounds like some/rum/come/gum/mum etc.but the D in this word is,like ` the` in english and not dog`s D.[domodar/dakshayani/dwarka/dakshin].Its a FARSI word for SHWAAS,a breath;that`s why DAMAA is ASTHAMA.but in this case[Pratibha`s query],,DHAM`s meaning is STEAM.although,we do not use it.for the morning fog.We use DHUKE in SM.but in villages,we use DHUKAAT/DUKOT etc.DHUEE/DHUKAT/DUKOT/DHUME/DHOORKAT have all their origin in SKT.DHUMRA=smoke.But their DH is different from D of DAM.DH is used for CHAAR DHAAM=4 v.imp.religious Tirth`s of Hindus.DHAAM here means,ABODE of GODS.DHAAM also means a HOUSE/HOME.other words are NIWAAS/SADAN/BHUVAN/GRUH/GHAR/NILAYA and many more.Thanks.

VAAM-BA-LEY;in this ,you guys have eaten up certain letters and digested them, over the years.it was v.difficult for me,to decipher this word.it was beyond recognition.but ,now,I know, what it is.It is a combi.of two wards.A verb,AABHAALL YENNE.AABHAAll is a SKY,and YENNE is to come/arrive,It means the DARK CLOUDS HAVE COME IN THE SKY,which `ll bring rains. My GOD ! I first thought ,it could be TAMIL.!!!
