Different Tastes...

Us Marathis settled down in the South of India over generations can call ourselves Dakshini Marathis. So next time someone asks you what language you talk, proudly say you are a DAKSHINI MARATHI or speak Dakshini Marathi!

Well, having settled in another land one thing all of us have in common is " jeev laamb" . This is because we inherited some dishes and adapted some and ended up with a encyclopaedia of dishes with different tastes.

"Jeev Laamb" is another idiomatic phrase which literally means Long tongue but in a figure of speech means having a penchant for various tastes.
